Semina Halliwell Charity
The Inspiration
On the 12th of June 2021, 12-year-old Semina Halliwell died after spending four nights in hospital. Semina ended her own life after she had reported being groomed and raped then suffering a torrent of physical violence and online abuse from bullies following her horrific ordeal.
Semina was a cherished daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and friend. Her tragic story has devastated the Southport community and beyond and raised many questions around what can be done to help protect children from sexual harassment, abuse and bullying.
The Purpose
The Semina Halliwell Charity was founded to raise awareness of online bullying and abuse amongst young people.
For every purchase you make from ProFashion Boutique we will be donating to The Semina Halliwell Charity to support their work and to remember Semina.
We also invite any well-wishers to visit us to view the beautiful memorial painting of Semina by local artist Robert Newbiggin and to write their message in our Book of Condolence for Semina and her family.
This is a permanent feature here at ProFashion Boutique to allow our community to show their support to Semina’s mother and extended family and to help keep the memory alive of such a special girl.
On behalf of Semina’s family, friends and The Semina Halliwell Charity, we thank you for your support.
